There are many sources of financial knowledge available online. However many of them have a primary motive of selling their own financial products. This is the case with virtually all banks, insurance companies, credit card issuers, and investment companies.
Other sources may appears to be unbiased, and may actually claim to be unbiased, however their business model is to get people to click on an advertisement or complete an online form. This type of content is known as "click bait" and these types of businesses are called "lead generation" platforms, because they get paid for generating sales leads for other financial companies.
The third type of company provides financial knowledge in order to capture data about people and sell this data to companies who will then try and profit from this information.
